Hi

I note that in the diagrams this and other mLInk items have the connection with pins closest to the Arduino. Does this matter? Could the Arduino be connected at the other end? The reason I ask is that I am putting items into a panel and it may be more convenient to wire to the other connection.

You can use either the male or female header pins. It doesn't matter which one you use as they are electrically connected together.
