W1209 not giving voltage to relay

Post by meganenriquez » Thu May 18, 2023 1:04 am

Hello! I’m trying to power a heating pad but it’s not getting any voltage when the LED indicator light is on. Is there anything wrong with my wiring or are there any common errors I may have made? See the attached image below. The grey wires don’t connect to anything.

I don’t know if this is the same model as the one we sell so please be aware that my advice will be for our version and may not be correct for yours, but the relay outputs (K0 & K1) are actually ‘clean contacts’ in that they are just a switch that will make or break a circuit and don’t actually output a voltage.

Looking at you images, and assuming you need to power your heat pad via the same 12V supply you’re using to power the temperature controller, you need to do the following:

1) Move the brown wire from the K0 terminal to the GND terminal so that the -Ve side of your heat pad is now connected to GND (via the resistor).

2) Move the black wire from the K1 terminal to the now free K0 terminal

3) Put an additional wire link from the now free K1 terminal to the 12V terminal. This will now run 12V through the relay contacts on to the +ve side of your heatpad.
