You're the greatest!

Thanks so much.

OK, next newbie (sort of) question. What is purpose of the three solder pads labeled A0, A1, A2? I don't see them described anywhere.

They represent the lower 3 bits of the I2C address for the EEPROM. By shorting them it connects the appropriate address pin on the EEPROM (A0 to A2) to GND and therefore changes its I2C address between 0x50 and 0x57. As these pins also have pullups on them, when these pads are unbridged the address pins are pulled high hence the default I2C address of 0x57.

Hi Todd, I've now added diagram showing the dimensions to the first post.
Are the mounting holes 2mm?

That's right, they are 2mm in diameter.

Hi,

Is there a circuit diagram available please ?

Hi Andrew,

Thought I'd use the Forum for this, maybe stupid, question.

I use DS3231 & DS1307 RTCs a lot for the Projects I do. But I have now reached the point of requiring the 'Time' data down to 1/100 second or better.

Q1: Are/is there a way of getting second times at this level from either of these RTCs ?

Q2: If not, are there any RTCs on the market that can do this ... using a Nano ?

Regards

The only things I can think of is to either feed the square wave output into an interrupt pin and use that to tick a counter.

The other option would be to use the time from the RTC to calibrate the internal millis timer and then use that for your fractions of a second.

I’m not aware of anything I’m afraid
