What does the pushbutton do?
Good question, it disconnects the supply from the VCC pin whilst the button is pressed. So if your powering your micro from the adapter it provides a convenient way to manually reset it.

Thank you for that confirmation. My trial and error pushing the button to see what happened seemed to indicate that but I worried that it might have other actions. The module works well allowing me to interrogate a Multiplex RC transmitter.
