About resistive touch panel

Post by vesko » Wed Jun 25, 2014 7:45 am

Hello,

Could you suggest a model name, or manufacturer of resistive touch panel which can fits on this display ?

Diagonal dimension match to 3.2", but horizontal and vertical dimensions is too many options.

If "Hobby Components" can offer this panel I will order 20 pcs.

Thank you

I've had a look but at the moment I'm struggling to find anything suitable for this size of screen. I assume this you are aware of the following item and it's not an option:

Hi,

Thank you for suggestion,
I was found a panel looks to fit : DPT-4W-0320128
from DOPO Tech, Chinese manufacturer,
Unfortunately, I look for small quantity.
They have a MOQ = 2000 pcs.

Kindly regards
Vesko

Didn't realise that restriction was enabled for new users. Hopefully new users can send PM's now.

Do you mean via the UG8lib library or by directly writing to the displays registers?

Latest version I got just from mail (12864ZW written on back) doesn't seem to require any modifications, only solder jumper on small selector "S / P". Three point selector/solder pad thing. Working well currently with Raspberry Pi 3. MOSI + SCK (R/W & E) to GPIO, CS (RS) tied directly to VDD on board and seems to work well.

R10 is 0ohm, removing it backlight stops working, at least thru BLA/BLK pins.

Thanks for the information, yes I can confirm that latest shipped batches don't have the PSB pin fixed. For these versions you should not remove the resistor R10.
