I'd have check this but if I remember correctly its behaviour is a bit undefined. I think high outputs will latch high until they are *ALL* pulled low again. You should only use one input at any one time with these modules.

where can I download the general module wiring/connection diagram showing the external wiring and pull up and down resistors required. I can only see the chip data sheets.

You can find an example connection diagram here

This shows them being used with a 4 channel relay module and will give you an idea of how to use them. I should point out that in this example we did find that when used with the 4 channel relay module it reduce transmission range due to RF emissions from the relays.

Hello,

I purchased a set of PT2262 / PT2272 433 Mhz from your ebay store.

Upon testing I discovered a possible limitation for my intended use, which I would like to clarify with you.

My intention is to have the the receiver reacting to all the four channels of the transmitter continuously - not one channel at a time.

For example, let's say CH 1 is activated (pulled high) on the TX module and KEPT ACTIVATED. (This causes CH1 on the RX module to go high and remain high.) At the same time, CH2 is also activated on the TX module. This does not trigger CH2 on the RX module.

I found a post by Andrew on this forum saying
"All 4 inputs of the transmitter module must be pulled low and only one input can be pulled high at any one time. "


So most probably this explains my problem.

Kindly advise.


NB: In the past I had achieved my intention using an HT6320 and HT6350 pair. I thought that this kit that i just purchased would do the same!

Yes this is the case with PT22x2 modules. You can't pulse more than one channel at the same time.

I can't think of a simple solution that wouldn't involve extra circuitry. The problem is PT22xx chips are intended for remote control applications where you'd only press one button at any one time. Any circumstance where you would need to switch two channels at the same time isn't going to work. Is latching the outputs an option? If so the simplest solution I can think of is using a D-Type flip flop. You'd connect the output of the receiver to the flip flops clock input and connect the inverted Q output its D input. That way each time the channel was pulsed the output of the flip flop would change state.

Hi Andrew,

I solved this problem using a different TX/RX chip and very minor mod to the TX board.
Is there a possibility to order the TX/RX boards without the PT2262/72 chips installed (saves me desoldering!).

That's great. I'm afraid the modules are supplied from the factory with the IC's pre-soldered.

I have a TX working on channel 3 with the 2262 pin 3 grounded. How do I set the 2272 to decode on this channel. I have a thumping great signal on the input to the 2272 from the RX portion, but can't get any led to light.. Any help please?
