Thanks for your reply. Yes I have it set to top USB left how it is mounted. If i change to top USB right then the head is then orientated away and left and right are inverted. Though i didnt look up or down.

Thanks for checking. Can I also check which orientation you have to board in. Is the the re-centre button pointing up or down?

Thanks again for confirming. That's the correct orientation. This is odd because I can see that you purchased a pre-soldered EDTracker and we do calibrate and test them before sending them out. So it should have got to you in a tested and working state. The only things I know that would cause what you described is an incorrect orientation or an uncalibrated magnetometer.

Other than posting a screen grab of your GUI to see if I can spot something there then I'm not sure what else it could be. So beyond that we'd have to look at getting it back I'm afraid.

I've already replied to you via email so if that's how you would like to proceed then we can sort it via email.

Hi, Thanks again for your reply. Maybe I should take some screen grabs for you first. I will do that tonight and then send them to you tonight. We can go from there if needs be.

I will also try a different USB cable later just to rule that out as well. I may try mounting it on a hat or something aswell though the mag spheres didnt show any interference spikes.

Thank you.

Please see video i uploaded to youtube below. Can see my settings too if you pause it. When i look up and down the yaw movement is not me as i am keeping my head dead still. If i look left and right but with my head level it does what its supposed to.

I tried a different usb cable, which didnt change anything.

I wonder could the board have been damaged in transit as it was only in a jiffy bag loose inside a thin box. Not great. If you need it back do you want it taken out of the enclosure? And where do I send it and to whom please?

Hope you can help.

Thanks for the video. I've not see that behaviour before and I can't seen anything wrong with the settings. At the moment I can't rule out any possibility but I think the best option is to get it back to test it.

I've just sent you an email with return details but yeah if you can remove it from the enclosure and just send back the EDTracker itself thanks.

Hi Andrew,

Thanks for the reply. I have posted the EDTRACKER (minus the enclosure) back to you this morning so you can have a look at it. Hopefully you can figure out whats causing the issue.

Many thanks for all your help.

What temperature should the edtracker be at? Mine sits around 55 and and I took the plastic housing off and it 53 with it off.

My "temperature" slowly blinks between red and green and it is varying 0.01 deg so no much.

Yeah they always show the temperature to be high. Normally when we test them they tend to average around about 45 but I wouldn't worry about the actual value so long as it's stable. It is quite sensitive if not accurate so it will drift about by the odd tenth of a degree but as long as it mostly showing green that's fine too.
Thank you andrew
