Description:

This is a very basic kit that provides all the components you'll need to have a go at building your own Arduino board. The kit includes an ATmega328 microprocessor pre-flashed with the Arduino Nano bootloader and blink application. This means that as soon as you apply power to your newly constructed Arduino it will start blinking the included LED.

Please note to assemble this kit you will require some tools (soldering iron, solder etc.) and assumes a basic knowledge electronics and how to solder components. To program the ATmega328 with your own Arduino sketches you will need an external programmer such as our own USB Serial Port Download Adapter (HCARDU0011).

The kit includes the following items:

1x Atmel ATmega328-PU
1x 28 Pin DIL IC Socket
1x 432 hole 5x7 PCB
1x 16MHz Crystal
2x 22pF Ceramic capacitors
1x 220 Ohm Resistor
1x 5mm LED
1x 40 Pin header
1x Push Button (Reset)

Just in case anyone doesn't read this through (and wastes a lot of time like I just did!): The chip has the nano bootloader, not the Uno one.

If you add an FTDI header to program this, you'll need to set the board to Arduino Nano w/ ATmega328.
