Is it a slow drift back to the centre is does it quickly snap back. Roughly how many seconds does it take?

Re: Newbie - Sensor Interfaces

Hi peterhw, welcome to the forum.... I had considered making a 'smart' Mouse Trap which would require some sort of detection sensor (range say 1-15cm), some sort of mechanical device (and maybe relay) to release a trap (could be like PECO Model Railway points motor) I think your best option would be...

Re: Screw Shield V2 (HCARDU0074)

There are 16 pins on the digital side labelled V, but there is no voltage on them, unlike the six V pins on the analogue side which have 5 volts on them. I can't work out how 5v could get to the digital side unless AREF can be configured as an 5v output. Am I missing something? Or is a jumper acros...

Re: Altera FPGA/CPLD USB programmer (HCDVBD0007)

Glad you got it working. Yeah I agree that in this case the driver should have been signed but the enforced driver signing is also a bit of a headache for the opensource community. It does help keep users computers protected but there's several open source drivers which are used by a lot of open sou...

Re: Hobby Components 8x8x8 Cube Kit (HCKITS0050)

I may have a flaw in my programming shield that only shows up when programming a 328P with a sketch but the Bootloader loaded ok so not sure if that makes any sense. We'll glad to hear you're making progress. Unfortunately we don't sell that shield so I'm not familiar with it's workings or if there...

Re: Altera FPGA/CPLD USB programmer (HCDVBD0007)

I've attached the correct drivers to this post. Can you unzip them and give them a try just to make sure you're installing the correct ones... usb-blaster.zip Edit: Sorry, just one other thing I forgot to mention. If you still have no luck with the above driver, and assuming you have one, can you tr...

Not that I'm aware of I'm afraid. We have contacted EDTracker about this and are still hoping for a response. If we don't get one we may have to look at modifying the GUI to point to our server.

Re: Hobby Components 8x8x8 Cube Kit (HCKITS0050)

Well, I'm baffled. Or maybe I'm a chip killer, who knows. I'm afraid to risk bricking or messing up my original so maybe best to leave good enough alone at least until I get a new chip or two without bootloaders on them to start fresh. Don't worry about bricking it, it's not possible to do that wit...

Re: Hobby Components 8x8x8 Cube Kit (HCKITS0050)

When you upload using your programmer and the 'Upload using programmer' method in the ARduino IDE (which is uploading via the ICSP interface) you can only either upload a sketch or the bootloader, but not both. When you upload one it overwrites the other. So if you uploaded a sketch into the IC usin...
