Re: mLink 1ch (HCMODU00182), 2ch (HCMODU0183), And 4ch (HCMODU0184) I2C / Parallel Relay Modules

A useful addition would be a required "pulsed command", and if that pulsed command isn't received to fail closed. It sounds like the timer mode will do what you require? By setting the on time in seconds for one of the relays will put it into timer mode. When in timer mode, when the relay is trigge...

Re: i2c volt tolerance / 2nd bus mLink relayboard

Is there any documentation on the end dev pads? (I did wonder what their use was) I could do with a drawing schematic to see exactly what's happening. although this explains most of what I want to know viewtopic.php?f=131&t=3003&p=8605&hilit=end+dev#p8605 Yes, the post you linked to shows exactly w...

Re: i2c volt tolerance / 2nd bus mLink relayboard

Am I missing something here? The voltage on the relayboards SCL/SDA lines with 5v input are 5v, this could very easily damage my micro controller certainly it's outside of Rpi , ESP32 et al's official recommendations. On your mLink relay module there are a set of 3 pads labelled ‘END DEV’. If you c...

Re: Serial I2C LCD 1602 Module (HCARDU0023)

I was sent a test program from another forum, and when installed, it works fine. In slower time, I'll compare that with mine to see what the difference is. Very odd. I don't see anything wrong with your sketch other than it's initialising the library with address 0x3F and it looks like you need it ...

Re: Serial I2C LCD 1602 Module (HCARDU0023)

I've now downloaded and installed the library that you refer to in the first post, and my code still doesn't display anything. I've also tried the "hello world" example, and that doesn't display anything either. Just a couple of things to check… 1) Did you delete the original version of the library...

Re: Serial I2C LCD 1602 Module (HCARDU0023)

...'m confident that the Nano is running, but all I see on the screen are the 16 white squares on the first row. Hi Adrian, have you read the FAQ section in the first post of this thread? It gives reasons for the exact problem you're seeing. Most likely you have the wrong version of the library for...

Re: Probably a dumb question from a newB

I'm wanting to make what now seems simple button box for my sim racing cockpit. Maybe 6 momentary buttons, a couple of toggles and a potentiometer.. . I was going to try learning the Arduino (Im absolutely going to now) but that seems like massive overkill seeing just a small sample of what's capab...

Sorry about that, the link should be fixed now if you can give it another try.

Re: JSL-502 Series 5V Tolerant 5mm LEDs (HCOPTO0057-59)

The manufacturer simply states the forward voltage as 5V @20mA for all three colours. However they will actually start conducting at forward voltages of 2.2V, 2.7V & 3V for the red, green, and blue LEDs respectively. The manufacturer doesn’t mention a current limiting resistor but the measured forwa...

Re: IR Remote Control Kit (HCKITS0006)

Hi Chris, Thanks for pointing this out. We used to ship it with a 21 button remote but that was a long time ago. I’ve had a look at the listing and everything looks ok apart from the bit in the description where it says 21 buttons? I’ll get the description updated and double check the stock to make ...
