I eventually got this working on my Win7-64 system, and wanted to post my experiences in case it's of help to someone else. Bottom line is that the Hobby Components driver posted on the HC instruction webpage did not work and I had to use Zadig to install "WinUSB v 6.1.xx.xx" with the "Install Drive...
