more trouble with a program creation for the 877A in MPLABX ,CREATING the source file seems ok but where do i find the 877A MCU header file ?
??
and when i have the source file and header file do i need anything else ??

thanks now the hex file works ok .just need to get MPLBX sorted then i am up and running ,but i can get by just using hex file examples till then ,what a relief.
it been a long haul so far

I TRIED LOADING THE HEX FILE VIA PICKIT 3 BUT I GET AN ERROR ABOUT THE VOLTAGE AND THEN IT WONT LOAD DUE 'TO PROGRAM FAILED AT MEMORY ADDRESS 0X000000' MESSAGE

now i have trouble with the pickit3 not talking with mplab ,MPLab just cant see the pickit 3 for some reason .not making any progress at all

error message

a search shows others have asked how to get the mcw window back to add to the files and even on the microchip forum and got no replies !
and had to give up on mplab completly .its like a secret society

i am now seting up a project in mplab ,set the chip type and cant find the small mcw window showing all the package of files like source ,header , object ,library and other files so i can add the main program files and linker ,so stuck at this stage ,its a bitch to get your head round it .once i get...

its not responding due to the nag screen and wont get the compiler path right , theres a lot of compiler paths that could be the ones, or can you add paths for all potential compilers you may use for each type of chip ?
mplabx has it all built in so seems better

not having much luck with mplab theres always a problem with the compiler stopping things .i loaded up mplab x and that seems better but still cant load via pickit3

mplab seems unstable and crashing
