Re: RCWL-0516 Microwave Radar Motion Detector (HCSENS0040)

This is CAT5 chewing my wiring from the Cat Detector. The detector is powered by a 5v USB breakout plug (red) and the RCWL is green. The 3.3 v Blue LED is directly wired to OUT and GND with no dropping resistor (current limited) and the output goes into the Raspberry Pi 3 GPIO. Notice only one wire ...

Re: Interested in Building Fridge Door Alarm Circuit using 5

This circuit appears to be plagerized.

I can't see what this post has to do Hobby Components unless you bought some components here.

Re: Interested in Building Fridge Door Alarm Circuit using 5

Well, way back in 1972 I bought a 555 and it was an amazing chip. I was a young man in college then, you wouldn't know it to look at me now. Fortunately, time has progressed and today we have Hobby Components selling http://forum.hobbycomponents.com/viewtopic.php?f=73&t=1900 W1209 Temperature Contro...

Re: STM8S103F3 Development Board (HCDVBD0034)

@alfredo You may want to remove the duplicate posts as it appears to be shouting. One problem I see is that you are using a word to represent a constant, 10 bytes used for a two byte value, very bad code. Just because you can do something in eForth, doesn't mean that you should. Learners should not ...

Re: STM8S103F3 Development Board (HCDVBD0034)

I believe that I already gave that solution in my last post. I ask rhetorical questions to get new learners thinking about it, not to ask experts for help. Filling or erasing is easier to have a start and end address inclusive, not by wondering where the last byte will end up. NVM : myfill ULOCK SWA...

Re: GP2Y1010AU0F Compact Optical Dust/Smoke Sensor (HCSENS00

Additionally the 220uF capacitor should be connected across the sensor Pin 1 and Pin 2 I don't see anything wrong here. Where do you see the problem? There's no problem as that was my suggested correction  see next as it still appears. Additionally a 220uF capacitor should be connected across ...

Re: GP2Y1010AU0F Compact Optical Dust/Smoke Sensor (HCSENS00

Just found a few errors in the Arduino example sketch code and wiring colours for the GP2Y1014AU only. Should be: GP2Y1014AU............Arduino Pin 1 (BLU).......5V via 150 Ohm resistor, positive capacitor Pin 2 ( GRN ).......GND. negative capacitor Pin 3 (WHT).......D2 Pin 4 (YEL).......GND Pin 5 (...

Re: STM8S Cross Posts

Thanks for the rapid response and positive action. After buying and learning the entire STM8S series, the only difference is RAM, FLASH, EEPROM and IO (of course pin number and package) so they are fundamentally one and the same. I think that it would be good to post cross-links and I will do the sa...
