If you didn't buy the programmer from us it may be that you need a different version of software. Try going to HELP->Protocol and checking that both the software and firmware match.

@ciko2k

The error message you are getting is typical of a programming delay time that is too short but it isn't forced to be the cause of the problem. We have however tested the same version of pic ourselves and we know it works fine with our programmers so long as you increase the delay time. A setting of 70 fixed the problem for us but it is work trying larger time delays just in case it is still that causing the problem.

@clvbanks

I've read your email. Could you tell me what the error message is saying?

@peterstorey

Following on from our previous correspondence, could you possibly email a copy of your hex file to support (AT) hobbycomponents.com. I'll take a look at it and see if there's anything obvious with it.

Andrew sorted it out I ran the hex file through the fix file in the downloaded zip file and then it loads awaiting for the chips to be delivered so can not program as yet looks like you need to do it for the 18F series of chips

@peterstorey

Ok, great. I believe this only needs to be done for hex files complied for 18 series pic's, and then only for some hex files that have an odd byte count which your file must have had. Anyway glad it fixed the problem for you.
