I'm afraid that module is only intended for direct connection to the Bluetooth slave module. To connect to a master device such as a PC or smart phone you need a Bluetooth slave module: http://hobbycomponents.com/index.php/ar ... odule.html

We haven't tested these modules with these versions of bluetooth; however, they are supposed to be backwards compatible so we don't see any reason why this module will not work.

I know that it doesn't work with iPhones which have bluetooth 4.0. Is a problem due to the iphone or to the bluetooth version?

We have now tested it with a HTC one X which has Bluetooth V4.0 and it worked fine. Bluetooth 3 and 4 should be backwards compatible and therefore work fine. Maybe this is an iPhone app issue? Where did you read that it doesn't work with an iPhone?

If someone reading this who has tested the module with an iPhone could confirm if it works or not, it would be very helpful.

Do you have a master or slave version of the module?
