Description:

The PT2262(Tx) & PT2272-M4 (Rx) Module pair are a set of wireless modules operating at 315MHz or 433MHz and utilise the the Princeton Technology Corp PT2262 & PT2272 remote control encoder and decoder IC's. They provide an easy way of remotely controlling up to 4 channels without the need of a microcontroller. This makes them ideal for applications such as security systems, garage door controllers, home automation, and remote control.

Please note that we currently stock two versions of these modules operating at 315 or 433MHz. When purchasing these modules please ensure that match the correct frequency for your Tx and Rx pair and that the operating frequency is legal in your country. For the UK please choose the 433MHz version.

FAQ:

How do these modules work?

There are 4 pins on the transmitter and 4 pins on the receiver. The pins on the receiver will mimic the state of the pins on the transmitter. I.e. if you pull a pin high (5V) on the transmitter the appropriate pin will go high on the receiver. There is one caveat that you can only pull one pin high at any one time.


Can I send serial data with these modules?

No, you can only send DC logic levels with these modules. The are intended as a simple way to remotely trigger something such as a garage door.

Is the address configurable on these modules?
Yes you can change the address, there are a set of pads on the underside of the modules that allow you to easily jumper with solder the appropriate pins to VCC or VDD.

Can I use more than one transmitter on different addresses?
Only if you can control when a PT2272 transmits so that no two PT2262 modules transmit at the same time. You cannot have more than one PT2262 module transmitting at the same time as they will interfere with each other, even if they are on different addresses.

Can I use more than one receiver?
Yes, you can use as many receivers with one transmitter as you like.

Will this transmitter/receiver work with the following 3rd party product?
We cannot guarantee compatibility with other third party products. If the product uses a PT2262 or 72 driver and operates on the same frequency then there is a chance but there are no guarantees.

I read that output type was momentary, and i need the remote circuit to mimic what happens at the tx switch end. Will these modules do this?

There are two types of PT2272 receivers, but the ones we currently sell (HCMODU0041 & HCMODU0049) will keep the appropriate output on the receiver high as long the button is pressed on the transmitter (input held high). It will then go back low when the button is released or the signal is interrupted in some way such as interference or going out of range.

Please advise how to connect the transmitter if i use for humid sensor (VCC 5V, GND and DO )

I try to minimizes cost by calibrate it first when the sensor ON then reciver dial my fog pump

What does the DO do on the sensor? Does it output data or is it a simple 5V ON/OFF output?

If the DO on your sensor is just a straightforward 5V high/low output then you can just connect it directly to any of the transmitter modules input pins (I0, I1, I2, or I4).

On the transmitter module you can then connect a relay to drive your pump to the corresponding output pin (D0, D1, D2 or D3). I.e. if you connect your sensor's DO to the transmitter module's I0 pin, then connect the relay for your pump to the receiver modules D0 pin. For a suitable relay see item HCARDU0001 in our shop.

I have just bought a pair of these modules from you, delivered yesterday (Thursday) and wired up as show in the diagram on here, but its seems to be transmitting all 4 channels at once.
I bought 2 RX units and both do the same, but only 1 TX as that was all stock you had so not able to substitute that one.

Even with only 1 channel (tried all 4 separately) connected on the TX all 4 channels on the RX change Hi to Lo when the switch is changed.

I have the identical 315Mhz RX and a Key-Fob TX. This works as expected so I know the RX circuit is wired correctly.

Any ideas?

I am think I may have made a little mistake with the diagram. I made the resistors pullups so that the relays on our 4 channel relay module would be normally de-energised, forgetting how these module work! Can you switch the resistors and the switches around so that the resistors are pull-downs and the push buttons pull the pin up to 5V? I can update the diagram tomorrow if you need to know how to do this.
