No it looks upside down...
Could you post images of the display with and without the suggested fix? It will help to understand which way the screen needs to be flipped.
Alternatively you can have a go at finding the correct value yourself. The first two bits (bit 0 and bit 1) in that byte control vertical and horizontal flipping. You can try changing these two bits until you find a correct combination.
