That is a good point, you could use the adaptor board from your other shield that would at least rule out any physical faults apart from the panel itself.

Hi,
I've tested all the pins with my working adaptor as model : I've the same results -> the adaptor seems good.
I can't use my working adaptor with your module because the ribbon cables are reverse protected and the plugs aren't in the same direction.

Ok, we've just about exhausted other possibilities so I think we may have to consider that there is a problem with the panel itself. If it was purchased from us just email sales (at) hobbycomponets.com and we will deal with it from there.

Hi,
I've tested with a HC3DPR0006 module (bought here with the discount) and I haven't any problem : this SD card reader works fine.
So the SD card reader of the HC3DPR0005 was effectively faulty.

That's good to hear. My suspicion with the other display is that there is a physical problem with the SD card connector itself.
