Very pleased with this display. Ideally suited to low power applications -
Screen is clearly visible in daylight even without backlight reducing power consumption to less that 1mA.

Further to my post today. I removed the bezel and noticed that there is no connections between the the display and the breakout board pc. Back of the display itself there is just a rubber pad where the contacts should be.

I can control the backlight from the sketch in the way you describe. So no compile errors.
Will try again and do what you suggest but maybe I've damaged the device in some way - I am operating at 3.3v using a Pro-Mini so can't have blown the pins.

I have recently puchased the NOKIA type B display.
I am experiencing difficulty displaying the example given
I have connected according to the diagram given
I am using the latest version of the HCDisplay library.
Nothing is displayed.
This example works for the type A display.

I carried out further tests on the HCWireless Libry v1.0 using two Nanos Tx/Rx and the 433Mz Modules. It is possible to assign TXpin to other that pin 8 but not the Rxpin. I have tested this out again using Arduino Nano and your 433 Mhz Rx/Tx modules on multiple pins. the Tx pin can be set to any pin OK but I have tried changing multiple Rx pins to other than 8 ...

Thanks for the reply. I'll use the RadioHead ASK library with the LGT8 MPU. The board will also be driving a NOKIA lcd display using the HCdisplay libray which it does very well exceeding the the performance of the AVR Pro-Mini.
