Re: HCMAX7219 - LED driver library
It's right at the start of this thread, the item with examples, right down at the bottom. Don't use the library from other sources.

Re: HCMAX7219 - LED driver library
Ref the current used, I wouldn't have thought it would be a problem. It's clone Nano but a good one. Maybe there is something else going on. Nothing on the Nano was getting warm. I was counting up to 10million using a while loop in the main loop with a delay of 1-millisecond in the while loop. I tri...

Re: HCMAX7219 - LED driver library
Hello Thanks for that Notepad/Notepad++ advice noted. Drivers set to 2 OK Version 0.5 in use Fudge comes from here https://forum.arduino.cc/index.php?topic=500347.0 Do you have any thoughts on the 1*addr method? (in the fudge link). I'm not really up to speed on pointers and the like. I will try you...

Re: HCMAX7219 - LED driver library
Hello Do you have a code example of cascading two MAX7219 displays to get me started? I have the single driver examples and a basic counter working fine, but I would like to to display a count of Watthours of electrical energy (pulses from the electricity meter) on one display, and the average energ...

Re: MAX7219 8 Digit Seven Segment Display Module (HCMODU0082)
Thanks for that. I had guessed they were bought in. They're quite good quality PCB-wise. I have managed to de-solder all the headers and display sockets. The displays are soldered straight in now and are a little tidier. I reversed the male headers and added offset (0.05") pins to bring them into li...

Re: MAX7219 8 Digit Seven Segment Display Module (HCMODU0082)
Hello Just a thought on the PCB design if it comes up for a revision. It would be helpful for hard-wiring the board in if all the pins (headers and displays) were on 0.1" pitch. The displays are, but the headers aren't. Also, if possible, supply the headers unsoldered to allow pins above or below th...

Re: MAX7219 8 Digit Seven Segment Display Module (HCMODU0082)
Hello I have a couple of these modules bought very recently and am now working through examples etc. and your library. I tried displaying some decimal values using the HCMAX7219.print7Seg(Value, DP, Digits, Offset) method, but it throws up an error. Going through the h and cpp files (downloaded 29ja...
